(From Khoo Yu)

Dear All,

I hate to admit it but that same old feeling of nostalgic has once again flashed upon in my mind. As I sat nonchalantly by my window, pondering over the dilemmas of life, I can’t help but to lament on the remaining days we have together as a class, or rather a day to be precise. Indeed, this is a sign of relief for most of us, especially the girls, whereas as most guys would agree with me, this marks the start of our countdown to our “Manhood” in Tekong.

That aside, as the adage goes, “Time waits for no Man”, this is seemly true at this point of time, leaving us with little room for regrets but no less than a wholesome of joyous moments etched vividly in our memories for the past 2 years we’ve been together. If you recalled, we’re bounded by a human societal enclave called, “Class” despite the little factions we have among us but still, and always to be, we’re all proud students of 0525. Against the precarious odds presented to us in the forms of projects or even to certain someone’s severe scolding, we have all overcome it with tenacity albeit there were few nervy moments to be reckon with. To put it simply, its best explain or epitomize with these factors I came up with.

Lateness: Somehow, we never seem to be early for class, do we? Such habits eventually extend to our projects, and worst still exams. After all, according to the “Absolutes of Beng Guan Management”, he would receptively tell you that projects are best done at the night, coupled by a can of Coke. While the night is still young, we, the nocturnal beings would slog our way through, cursing and swearing at whatsoever projects, and still praying that the tutors would show mercy and compassion on us. Eventually however, as it turned out, all that worrying was unnecessary.

Laughter: Well, we never seem to fall short of hilarious moments, aren’t we? All these are credited to Jun Yao and Benjamin who never fail to entertain us with their side-splitting exploits. But of course, how can we ever forget Joseph for his audacious shot to fame, in Bollywood Dancing during HR role-play. (hmm…)

BBQ: But the best thing that emerged from all these is that BBQ seems to be an important affiliation to us. From the first class chalet to Rong Rong’s Birthday, we had at least 4 BBQ sessions, and possibly still counting. Gee, let’s just say we love to have our class rap cooking for us as we bask under the moonlight drinking Vodka and some entertainment, exemplify in the goodwill of certain ‘cards’.

To think of it again, these moments were indeed short-lived but surely memorable as time ticks away inadvertently. To be perfectly frank, I’m grateful for how things have turned out now, be it the experience, life and importantly, friends. Friends, who share your sorrows and joy till the end. Perhaps, at times, we’re so concern with certain trivial matters that we tend to neglect those who have been there for us, silently throughout. But at the end of the day, it’s never too late to say a big thank you to your friends around you.

True enough, parting never seems to be the easiest thing, while some don’t seem to be least trouble by it, most despite their ego, express it differently. And if our destiny do not cross path again, the least I know now, we are friends, and I’m not walking alone.

Best Regards

Khoo Yu
